If informing our patients is critical, it’s vital we support suppliers like SF Taylor & Co.
Since 1926, S F Taylor Commercial Printers have been part of the fabric of Greater Manchester. Now based in Stockport, the company employs a workforce of 50 people from the surrounding areas.
Prompt payment is critical as Gill Tress, Director describes:
“We have a £1 million contract covering all Central Manchester hospitals. To meet the contract we invested heavily in the business with the purchase of digital equipment. As a result, the first few months of the contract saw purchases outweighed sales. We had bills from suppliers, invoices weren’t going out as quickly as they should, and together with the size of our investment, no money was coming in but a lot going out.”
“Prompt payment has proved a lifeline to us. If we can’t pay our suppliers, then they can’t pay theirs. It’s a knock-on effect right down to the guy at the bottom. If we get paid, he gets paid, and survives"
“Now, we invoice once a week and we get paid by the NHS in the North West within a maximum of 10 days. Enabling us to pay our suppliers on time. It’s good for the morale of the company and our suppliers. Everything flows nicely, everybody’s happy and our bank account’s looking healthy.”
