The Second Emergency Care Conference
September 8, 2009
Reebok Stadium, Bolton
NHS North West sponsored the second Emergency Care Event in September 2009. This event built on the first Emergency Care Review Event to enable further sharing of good practice and networking of both provider and commissioning colleagues to ensure ongoing and systematic, sustainable delivery of the emergency care operational standards and targets whilst providing high quality care.
Jane Cummings, Executive Director of Performance, Nursing, Quality and Commissioning opened the event, followed by presentations from Dr Ian Sturgess; the National Emergency Care Intensive Support Team (ECIST); a Swine Flu update from Marie Burnham; the Met Office; as well as short case-study presentations from several health economies.
