The NHS has moved from a system based on tight control of service provision to a more open system. We are now in charge of the overseeing the way that contracts are awarded over the region.
If there are disputes between organisations (NHS or otherwise) about the way that contracts have been awarded, there is a clear process to resolve these, with NHS North West acting as arbiter.
