Patient Safety Action Teams
NHS North West has a Patient Safety Action Team to support our objectives of:
- Improving information on patient safety to identify the major risks to patients and deal with them appropriately
- Supporting all providers of NHS care to improve incident investigation, learn lessons and apply safety solutions
- Following the new National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) guidance for the independent investigation of mental health incidents to ensure that the concerns of families are addressed, public confidence is increased and mental health care improves.
